And So It Begins...

I've often thought of myself as web-savvy. I'm a PC tech, for crying out loud. But toss me onto the LJ website and I'm suddenly wandering around like the little "Are you my mother?" bird. Criminy.

Do what, now?

It may be too early to speculate, but I just might be getting the gist of this. Thanks to gabrita I've got my own little piece of the web up and running... well, it's up, anyway. I'm thinking it's a long way from running, but since I haven't run anywhere since required gym class in college, that seems appropriate.

But where to start? I've spent a large chunk of the day cruising other people's journals and finding communities and drooling on icons and am now feeling overwhelmed and gobsmacked. I'm constantly amazed at the talent that's out there. My most adorable Jack icon was made by mumbly_mumpy and I found it while exploring the Stargate Icon community. Stargate and Firefly - my two favoritest obsessions.

Now I'm off to spend a little quality time with the Bro - we'll be watching Angel and Tru Calling, both of which I missed due to my new third shift job. Woo hoo! Eliza..... mmmm.
