It's clear that you know the books very well and hold them dear.

I can't believe how long I avoided the books. Tolkien was always my brother's thing. It really took watching the first movie to get me into the books, and now I can't stop reading them!

As much as it was admittedly lame, I still enjoyed the Gimli-Legolas drinking game scene.

Now that I've watched it a couple of times, I don't hate it quite as much as I did on the first pass. My main problem, I think, is with Gimli's eye-crossing and passing out - it just feels over the top to me. It's really that one thing that bugs me.

He's hilarious and heart-warming and DEAD SEXY OMG.

He's freaking hysterical in that interview. I seem to be immune to the sexiness everyone else sees, though. All the Hobbits kind of go into a 'too young' category with me for some reason. Except maybe Billy.

LOTR, TTT, ROTK Pt. 1, and ROTK pt. 2 and have you be the consultant extraordinaire.

Aw, that gave me a warm fuzzy. Honestly, I love the movies. I think they're incredible. The only thing in the books that they cut out completely that I would have loved to see is Aragorn's Dunedain Rangers, including the sons of Elrond, Elrohir and Elladan. I really really wanted to see them, because I love the concept of the Rangers and they're really Aragorn's true kinsmen and family. But I get that not everyone is as obsessed with elite warriors and back story as I am!

And OMG, your icon makes me laugh and laugh!
