"I can't out-act Alec Baldwin!"
Oct. 27th, 2004 10:53 pmI hope those of you in my neck of the woods got to see the lunar eclipse just now - it was so cool! I love eclipses. It's such a stupid little thing to get excited about, when you think about it. I mean, it's just the Earth passing between the sun and the moon. But on the other hand, it's the Earth passing between the sun and the moon! That's huge, you know? Anyway.
Speaking of celestial things, the sunsets have been amazing the past two evenings. The beauty of the sun going down and reflecting off of the light cloud layer is only rivaled by how clear and bright the moonrise is against a streaky purple-blue-grey sky. Yowza.
I went to see Team America tonight with Ron and Sheri. When I wasn't creeped out by the marionettes and/or offended on behalf of Middle Eastern folks, gay folks and the French, I have to admit that it was pretty damn funny. I have a feeling that "Good work, team! Now get back to headquarters for debriefing and cocktails!" is going to become an integral part of my daily conversations.
My roommate and her friend Psycho Jane are watching the Sox game. I'd really like the Sox to win tonight, if it means there'll be less rioting than if they manage to win while playing here. Oh, and because it would be oooooover. For crying out loud, I'd like to be able to have one conversation that doesn't revolve around Pedro. Honestly.
Bed now.
