Date: 2004-01-14 10:35 pm (UTC)Not at all! The Stargate/Gate similarity is actually just a happy coincidence. The name came from a Star Wars novel - I was working up a character for Shadow Run and she needed a street name. I was at a complete loss so I pulled out my favorite novel and took a name from there. At the same time, I was getting into stuff online for the first time, so I used it as my screen name as well. I thought it would be temporary, but it stuck and here I am.
Gatezilla is a whole 'nother story.
